New Tobacco Products will Attract Kids in Smoking

Even kids can try tobacco products now, because they look like mints. This is not an imagination this is reality because such smokeless tobacco product can be found in the market. The new design smokeless tobacco can, very easy, tempt teenagers to try it.

According to a recent study in this year R.J. Reynolds produced new smokeless tobacco: Camel orbs, strips, and sticks. The problem is that they look like mints, toothpicks and get-away breath strips. This all characteristics attract children to try them. Adults reported that these new products might be appealing to children because they come in brightly-colored packages and they're in flavors like 'fresh' and 'mellow'.

R.J. Reynolds said that the products are meant for adult consumers, and there are warning labels on them. But because they're easy to hide, kids can use them in schools or elsewhere. "This new tobacco product can cheat anyone, especially youth, that it is something safer when, in fact, the amount of nicotine in these is far more, in most cases, than in cigarettes", said Thomas Glynn of the American Cancer Society.

That’s why this smokeless tobacco tends to become a very dangerous product for children. These products are going to be sold in convenience stores and groceries, so it is very important to announce kids that these are not gums, and they're not candy, instead they are very dangerous.

For example the camel dissolvable products contain between 0.6 to 3.1 milligrams of nicotine but cigarette smokers typically inhale about 1 milligram of nicotine per cigarette.
